Israeli soldiers invaded, Monday, Umm al-Kheir village in Masafer Yatta area, south of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, and handed demolition orders targeting 18 homes.

Fuad al-‘Amour, the coordinator of the Protection and Steadfastness Committee in Masafer Yatta, said the homes are owned by members of the families of al-Hathalin, al-Masri, at-Tibna and al-Faqeer.

Al-‘Amour added that the army is alleging the homes were built without permits from the “Civil Administration Office,” the administrative and executive branch of Israel’s illegal occupation of the West Bank.

It is worth mentioning that, last week, Israel issued demolition orders targeting eight homes, owned by Mohammad Mousa Makhamra, Ahmad Yatim, Ahmad Ismael Dababsa, Mahmoud Issa Yatim, Qassem Ahmad Abu Tohfa, and Anan Mohammad Abed-Rabbo.

The Palestinians in Masafer Yatta suffer constant Israeli violations, including the demolition of homes and structures, in addition to the bulldozing and uprooting of their lands.

It is worth mentioning that the “Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission” has reported that the Israeli army has demolished 686 homes and structures, in the West Bank, including 300 in occupied Jerusalem, last year.
